Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients are commonly single use bioreactor produced by traditional chemical synthesis. Both FUNDABAC® and STERIBAC® filters have single use systems a long track record in this industry and hundreds of filters are placed in various process steps such as catalyst recovery, active carbon treatment, crystal separation, impurities removal, disposable mixer or polishing tasks. Besides the standard filtration of products, the FUNDABAC® allows further cake treatment such as washing, extraction, and drying to increase the contained filter yield and reduce contamination of those often expensive intermediates.

Typical applications encompass antibiotics, vitamins, contrast agents, cell harvesting and many other active ingredients.
